We love kids at Momentum Church! We also love parents and are committed to helping them fulfill their role as their children's primary teachers on spiritual issues. Scripture makes it clear that parents are ultimately responsible for the discipleship of their children. At Momentum, one of our missions is to communicate God’s beautiful design for discipleship in the home and to assist parents in this endeavor.
Unlike many churches, Momentum does not separate families for the worship service. We believe worshiping together as a family is not only commanded in Scripture but is one of the greatest blessings on earth. As one father in our church put it, "What could be more fulfilling as a parent than to have my children next to me as we worship God together?" At Momentum, we don't view children as a distraction in corporate worship, but as a great addition. The blessings associated with a multi-generational corporate worship service are many. Our children learn the importance of worshiping God corporately through the examples of our adults, and all ages benefit from the interactions that take place during this time together.
While we believe in multi-generational corporate worship, we also recognize the wisdom that is found in teaching God's word to children at a level of their understanding. We realize that parents are ultimately responsible for the spiritual training of their children at home, however, we also recognize that gifted, godly teachers can add value on Sundays to what the parents are doing throughout the week. That's why we offer age appropriate classes to all of our children from birth through High School each Sunday morning at 9 am. Our adults meet at this same time in their own interest based classes.
Our classes at Momentum for children and teens are divided into four age appropriate groups:
Pee Wees (Infants to 4th birthday)
Kidmo JV (4 yrs to Kindergarten)
Kidmo Varsity (1st to 5th grade)
Momentum Youth (6th to 12th grade)
